**Job Summary**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in various care settings, including home care, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for patients by assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety.
**Responsibilities**
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment.
- Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions to nursing staff or family members.
- Help with mobility assistance, including transferring patients to and from beds or wheelchairs.
- Maintain cleanliness in the patient’s living space to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
- Support individuals with dementia care or hospice care needs, demonstrating patience and understanding.
- Perform heavy lifting as required when assisting patients or moving equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as needed for patient mobility assistance.
- Experience working with persons with disabilities is an asset.
- Knowledge of home care practices and familiarity with dementia or hospice care is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families.
- A commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a respectful manner.
- Must be able to work flexible hours as required by the needs of the patients.
