**Concrete Saw Cutting Operator**

Firma Contracting is currently seeking an experienced Concrete Saw Cutting Operator to work on underground / water & sewer projects located in Edmonton. We offer competitive wages, work / life balance, great opportunity for advancement, training and potential for work over the winter.

**Duties include (but are not limited to)**:

- Saw-cutting concrete and asphalt
- Vacuum slurry and remove concrete when required with hand removal, handcarts, machine removal and/or using other methods - able to follow strict environmental procedures for this.
- Collaborate with supervision to prioritize, organize, accomplish work tasks, and meet both daily and weekly schedules.
- Have a good understanding of equipment / tools including proper use and maintenance.
- Complete all site documentation
- Participate in inspections and incidents - address deficiencies / issues through corrective actions
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner with honesty and integrity
- Help out the crew where needed if concrete cutting is slower.

**Required Skills**:

- 2+ years of concrete cutting experience is required
- Exposure to underground utility rehabilitation / replacement experience is an asset
- Ability to read blueprints
- Extremely safety conscious
- Able to work independently and follow instruction from the foreman
- Able to support other positions as needed
- Strong communication skills - provide instructions clearly with sufficient detail
- Consistent, reliable and always show up for work fit for duty
- Team player with a great attitude.

**Required Certifications**:

- CSTS 2020
- WHMIS 2015
