The West Vancouver Community Services Department has an immediate opening for casual Food Services Cooks at the Seniors Activity Centre (SAC). Reporting to the Food Services Coordinator, this position will be responsible for:

- Preparing a variety of fresh foods and baked goods for the Food Services area and catering orders in conformance with the health regulations, safe practices and established standards;
- coordinating, leading, motivating and mentoring volunteers in serving and preparation of food and cleaning duties;
- playing a key leadership and high functioning team player role with the kitchen staff team & volunteers
- helping with the receiving of orders and inventory control; and,
- performing related works as required.

Position Status:
Union (WVMEA) - Casual

Hours of Work:
Up to 25 hours per week. Hours and days of work may vary and will include weekend and/or early morning or evening hours.

Starting Rate of Pay:
$25.94 per hour plus 14% in lieu of benefits.

This position has a pay structure with five steps which increases based on hours worked.
