**Job Summary:
**Vale has a great opportunity available for an experienced Metal Manufacturing Machine Operator to be a part of our

**Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read documents, computer screens, blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout
- and procedures
- Operate and set up shop equipment as required including saws, iron worker, drills, CNC plasma, CNC brake,
- hydraulic press, and other machines as required
- Able to lift 20-50 pounds
- Produce components and assemblies as per specified requirements
- Perform general preventative maintenance of fab equipment
- Perform quality inspections; document actions by completing production and quality forms
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Monitor parts usage and report on any material issues
- Maintain quality objectives and verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing results as needed
- Work shift hours when required

**Education and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a machine operator
- WHMIS training an asset
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Manufacturing experience in an agricultural or aggregate & mining environment an asset
- Experienced with a variety of hand tools such as grinders, calipers, saws, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and other drawings
- Must have outstanding punctuality and attendance
- Ability to work according to production schedules and deadlines; willing to work shifts when required
- Must possess strong problem solving and communication skills as well as the flexibility to handle changing
- demands and work effectively in a diverse environment
- Able to work independently or as part of a team in a busy environment/able to work under pressure
- Must be able to interact with co-workers in a sensitive, tactful, diplomatic, and professional manner at all times

**Knowledge Areas and Experience:
- Ability to accurately measure and produce metal components
- Overhead crane and forklift training an asset
- Experience rigging and safe handling of components
- Knowledge of Lock-out/Tag-out procedures
