**About the Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Health Services Manager, the Psychologist provides a range of services to clients who have mental health and addictions disorders and/ or diagnoses. Working as part of an inter-disciplinary team, the Psychologist is responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, care planning, implementation and evaluation of a client’s individual needs, within the scope of the Registered Psychologist.
**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Recognized Master's degree in Clinical Psychology
- Registration (or eligibility) with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology
- A minimum of two years relevant experience, with a strong background in mental health
- Experience in the assessment and treatment of youth with significant emotional and behavioral disorders
- Demonstrated ability to employ a trauma informed lens to therapeutic interventions
- Experience in utilizing the ARC model in the provision of therapeutic interventions is considered an asset
- Strong assessment skills and comfort with diagnostics utilizing DSM5 criteria
- Excellent documentation/report writing skills required
- Ability to establish models of care based on programming needs.
- Ability to evaluate progress and adapt therapy as required.
- Strong CBT and DBT skills and ability to deliver DBT skills group and CBT groups for anxiety and depression required
- Ability to work independently and to work cooperatively on an interdisciplinary team
- Ability to provide and utilize clinical supervision and support
- Competencies in other languages preferred; French an asset

**Hours**:
- Permanent full time position; 75 hours biweekly
**Compensation and Incentives**:
$36.59 - $48.10 hourly
