**Bartender**

Pine & Thistle Kitchen + Bar is looking for a Bartender to join our team and provide an excellent guest experience. We are a family-owned and operated restaurant in downtown Crossmount, SK. We specialize in seafood and oysters, with a focus on fresh ingredients and seasonal items. We are looking for a personable individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has a positive attitude, and has a passion for hospitality.

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
- Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
- Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies and check inventory
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food safety protocol guidelines
- Maintain a clean work area, including the bar area
- Ensure presentation of Pine & Thistle is up to standard
- Clean bar area and make it presentable
- Update blackboard with new daily features
- Write down orders
- Check tables regularly
- Write down reservations
- Ability to work off-site 'tasting' events

**Physical and Mental Requirements**
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk, talk, hear, use hands to finger, grasp, handle or feel, push, pull, reach, crouch, kneel, crawl or bend and perform repetitive motions of the hands and/or wrists.
- Ability to occasionally exert up to 50 pounds of force, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds and be able to move kegs which weigh close to 140 pounds. Keg dolly is available for larger kegs.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience as a bartender
- Knowledge of mixing drinks and the art of public communication with customers and co-workers
- Ability to keep the bar area clean and organized, while maintaining an attractive appearance
- Ability to keep detailed records of customer visits and work logs
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime work
- Serve it Right certification
- Must have own vehicle, valid drivers license

**Experience**:

- serving: 2 years (preferred)
- Bartending: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Serve It Right Saskatchewan (required)
