**About Us**: Wize Computing Academy is seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for computing and technology to join our team as a Coding and Robotics Instructor for in-person Winter Classes at host locations. This part-time contracting position offers the potential for growth, leading to a permanent role as an instructor at various Wize Computing Academy locations.
- Elementary school teachers looking for supplemental income.
- Stay-at-home parents.
- University students aspiring for a career in teaching or education.

**Training**: Full training will be provided a week before the start date.

**Responsibilities**:

- Deliver engaging STEM/STEAM after-school program sessions using our curriculum, fostering curiosity and innovation among students.
- Prepare in advance for each session, utilizing the provided curriculum to create interactive and hands-on learning experiences.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for all participants, adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times.
- Provide regular updates to our Program Coordinator and Admin Lead, sharing insights and feedback for program improvement.
- Ensuring timely arrival and departure from various Burnaby school locations.
- Maintain a commitment to the role for at least six months, with availability from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on weekdays.
- Carry Robotics Equipment/Electronic Devices to host locations.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
- Tech-savvy - Understanding of technology, including software, programming, and hardware.
- A person of high moral character who is good with kids.
- Passionate about computer science and learning.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and address varying needs.
- Classroom management skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Energetic & willing to learn new things.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Must be able to travel to host location (Buckingham Elementary School)
- Having access to a vehicle is a plus, to travel to host locations and carry teaching equipment like laptops, tablets, robotic kits, etc.

**Mandatory**: Successful applicants are required to provide a Vulnerability Criminal Record Check.

**Job Types**: Internship/Co-op, Part-time

**Contract Length**: 3 months

**Salary**: $20.00 per hour

**Hours per week**: 3 hrs

**Benefits**:

**Schedule**: - Mondays (2:00 PM - 5:00 PM).

**Supplemental Pay Types**: - Bonus pays (based on eligibility)
