**Junior Recruiter**

SOUTHLAND is currently seeking a full-time Junior Recruiter to join our fun, talented and dedicated recruiting team **This is a temporary contract position lasting approximately 6 months, with the possibility of extension.** Reporting to the Recruitment Manager, the Recruiter is responsible for full-cycle recruiting, and ensuring company-wide compliance with the recruiting program.

Typical positions to be filled are part-time/full-time drivers and maintenance personnel. The Junior Recruiter will play a critical role in ensuring that SOUTHLAND hires talented people who share in the dedication of a company committed to Safety and Service.
- High level of confidentiality
- Calm demeanor and a friendly, approachable manner
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Willingness to work occasional overtime and weekends, as required

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide information about job inquiries via phone, trade shows or recruitment booths
- Liaise with training department to organize and book training
- Full-cycle recruiting on very tight deadlines
- Administer drug/alcohol tests on applicants
- Prepare pre-employment and new hire paperwork as per company and legislative requirements
- Attend job fairs and career events / in-house job fairs and career events
- Revise employee files to ensure complete and accurate information
- Various administrative duties

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
