Vacuum carpets and sweep, wash floors
- Dust, brush, polish and vacuum furniture
- Dust and clean room decorations, appliances and structural surfaces (e.g. wall fixtures, window sills, vents)
- Change linen and make beds, checking for damaged or stained linen
- Clean showers, tubs, sinks and bathroom items
- Remove used guest amenities and trash, replenish guest amenities and supplies
- Report lost and found articles, maintenance problems, unusual circumstances or special room concerns (i.e. pets in room, smoking in room) promptly
- Inspect rooms for safety hazards and maintenance deficiencies and report them promptly
- Maintain linen rooms and stock carts
- Record room status on work assignment sheets
- Ensure that proper key controls are in effect.
- Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items
- Adhere to hotel policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
- Consistently practice guest and associate safety, upholding the hotels health and safety policy
- Recycle bottles, cans and paper products in accordance with the policies outlined by our hotel green committee
- Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position
- Perform any other duties as required or necessary to provide superior service and teamwork
- Maintain a favorable working relationship with all associates to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious work environment

Job Requirements:

- Must have basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products and operation of standard cleaning equipment.
- Must be able to speak, read and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace and effectively communicate with management and co-workers.
- Must be able to work mornings, weekends/weekdays and holidays.
- Requires grasping, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
- Ability to lift, push and pull 30 lbs.
- Previous Hotel Housekeeping experience an asset.

**Experience, Training and Education (demonstrating requirements)**:

- Previous customer service experience is an asset ( 1 to less than 7 months )
- Previous hotel cleaning experience an asset.
