Landscape Construction Lead Hand

We are looking for an experienced **Landscape Construction Lead Hand** to assist in leading our innovative natural playground landscape installations. This role will support the Foreman and Project Manager in planning and execution. The Lead Hand can also enter into the Foreman Development Plan setting goals and training to become the next Installation Foreman

**Job Summary**:
The Installation Lead Hand is responsible for contributing to the construction of natural playground projects and takes direction from site Foreman. Locations of these projects will very, and travel may be required.

**Essential Duties**:

- Promote, manage, and adhere to any and all safety regulations and requirements.
- Support the site Foreman as scheduled and requested by executing work, training crew
- members, and active site leadership across all aspects of the project.
- Promote a clean and orderly work site at all times.
- Always represent the company’s best interest, maintain the highest level of integrity and
- professionalism.
- Maintain and care for company equipment, tools and vehicles.
- Support management in the succession planning of crew members along with the
- Foreman.

**Requirements**:

- Ability to read and understand construction drawings
- Must have a valid driver’s license and provide driver’s abstract stating clean record.
- Must be self-motivated and possess strong leadership skills.
- Experience with the safe operation of track loaders, mini excavators, compaction
- equipment and other power tools
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job
- Must have good working knowledge of all hardscaping, softscaping, wood work and
- other construction practices.
- Ability to work under pressure, adaptable to changing priorities and without supervision.
- First Aid training considered an asset
- Chainsaw operator certification an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
