Strategy Analyst

The Strategy Analyst is responsible for compiling, analyzing, and evaluating various datasets and business information to determine their effectiveness and identify potential areas for improvement. They will collaborate with various leaders across the company to develop and implement data-based initiatives to drive success.
Given the rapid and exciting growth at McLean & Company, there is a heavy emphasis on commercial territory design and creation to optimize revenue across our sales teams. The Strategy Analyst will also work with the Executive Team on setting and prioritizing their strategic plan for the year. Once an action plan is approved, the Strategy Analyst will be involved in the execution and oversight of the plan, as well as data-driven projects that support strategic initiatives.
The role requires you to take on large, complex, and ambiguous business problems, perform hypothesis-driven analyses to provide insights and potential solutions, and finally provide business case-backed recommendations. We’re looking for a well-rounded individual with sound judgement, business analysis and project management skills, and the ability to lead meetings and collaborate with executives across the entire organization. Strategy Analysts will be evaluated on their ability to execute projects and improve processes within their assigned areas.
**Responsibilities**
- Use data to identify areas for improvement within the organization to improve performance, increase revenue, or reduce costs.
- Complete data-based reporting, modeling, and analysis projects.
- Maintain regular reporting of key metrics to stakeholders.
- Present analysis and findings to key stakeholders to inform decision making in a timely manner.
- Manage sales territories and refine McLean’s total addressable market.
- Perform analysis and capacity modelling to evaluate the financial impact of different strategic options.
- Conduct competitor analysis to identify opportunities and best practices.
- Collaborate with other relevant departments within the organization, such as Sales Operations, to develop and implement strategies, ensure that systems are aligned, and initiatives are effectively executed.
- Effectively gather and assess stakeholder requirements, prioritize tasks, maintain communication, support change management, and other project management activities.
**Education & Experience**
- 1-3 years’ experience in Business Analysis, Business Intelligence, or similar field
- Post-secondary education required.
- University degree in business preferred
**Skills**
- Experience analyzing large datasets and providing recommendations
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve problems using advanced quantitative analysis
- Project management and prioritization skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication as well as excellent presentation skills
- Collaborative self-starter with a positive attitude
