Truck Repair Shop Helper

We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Shop Helper to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of our service repair shop. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Assisting Technicians**: Provide support to the technicians by handing them tools, parts, and equipment and ensuring they have everything they need to efficiently complete the repair and maintenance tasks.
- **Shop Maintenance**: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sweeping, mopping, and keeping tools and equipment properly cleaned and stored.
- **Inventory Management**: Assist in managing parts and inventory, including retrieving, and delivering parts and supplies to and from vendors and suppliers. Maintain accurate records of parts usage and replenish stock when needed.
- **Safety**: Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- **Learning Opportunities**: The role provides a valuable opportunity for learning about repair and maintenance, with the potential for career advancement within the company.
**Requirements**:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of automotive tools and equipment is a plus.
- Strong organization and time-management skills.
- A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 80 pounds) and sand for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license.
