Join us as a Summer Student and help to Create Care Inspired by Community in East Toronto As a Summer Student you will work with us on a variety of projects and other initiatives in Professional Practice. We are looking for a student that is interested in pursuing a career in one of the following health professions including: speech language pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, dietetics, respiratory therapy and social work.
These positions are offered through the support of Government of Canada-Canada Summer Jobs Program. All applicants must meet the minimum requirements of that program.
**EDUCATION**
Enrollment in a relevant post-secondary program, required. Health Sciences student preferred.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong demonstration of tact and diplomacy with a customer service focus
- Expectation of this role encompasses the need to maintain confidentiality with respect to all aspects of the work being performed
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, and prioritize workload
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated computer literacy with proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel,PowerPoint
- Experience withinformation gathering and the ability to synthesize and summarize information
- Ability to prepare written reports and documents that are clear and concise
- Comfortable working within a team as a leader and/or team memberand with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
