**Function Summary**
Reporting to the Director, Mission, Client Experience, Spiritual Care and Clinical Ethics, this role leads the development and implementation of Bruyère’s, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion plan to integrate and embed anti-racism, anti-oppression, equity and social accountability principles and practices across the organization.
In alignment with the organization’s mission, vision and values and guided by the strategic goals of Bruyère, this role acts as a resource person and assists in fostering and achieving a culture of respect, equity and accessibility, free of discrimination for staff, volunteers, patients, residents and families, friends and other visitors and contractors who come to the campuses.

**Required Qualifications**
- Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Social Studies or related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the development and implementation of equity, diversity and inclusion policies, programs and initiatives, preferably in the public sector, ideally in a healthcare setting
- Experience maintaining, developing and successfully implementing diversity and includes policies, programs and curriculums within a large organization
- Experience partnering with individuals and communities that have been marginalized and under-serviced by the healthcare system
- Knowledge of the barriers faced by marginalized groups, and ability to identify and confront the conscious and unconscious biases that discriminate against them
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including Ontario Human Rights Code, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, Ontario French Language Services Act, Ontario Anti-Racism Act and other related legislation (e.g., Employment Standards Act)
- Having lived experience as a member of a group marginalized by the healthcare system would be a valued perspective for this role

- Thrives in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking and shifting priorities are the norm
