**Job Summary**
We’re looking for a dynamic leader to join our Finance and Accounting team in the role of **Regional Site Controller**. In this role, you will report into the Head of Global Finance Operations and will lead the financial function for our Ontario facilities including Markham, Jarvis, and Bradford locations. You will provide strategic financial leadership to support our business with achieving financial targets and maximizing performance and profitability. Sound exciting? Here is a little more
**As the Site Controller you will be responsible for**
**Financial leadership and business partnerships**:
- Lead the Regional Finance Site team and manage the performance, development, and training of all employees to drive business value and productivity
- Collaborate with the site leadership team to ensure ownership and accountability of financial performance, while identifying process improvement and cost reduction opportunities across the full P&L statement
- Manage plant internal financial reporting and assure compliance with internal controls and policies of the assigned division and business unit
- Assist in the creation and achievement of the approved budget of the Sites
**Operational analysis**:
- Partner with the team to assure achievement of the overall plant objectives, including analyzing data to initiate improvements and cost savings
- Present plant financials and scorecard to management
**Forecasting**:
- Manage the forecasting process including analyzing trends and patterns, determining the impact, and making recommendations for the Site
**Cost Accounting, inventory, and assets**:
- Manage systems for current, accurate and complete accounting and reporting of job costs, overhead, inventory, controls and policies, and physical counts
**Month-end close**:
- Lead the month end closing and associated balance sheet management, accruals, and reconciliations
**As an experienced professional you will have **
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- A professional accounting designation (CPA/CA preferred)
- 5+ years as a leader and financial manager with a strong operational focus **_(we would also welcome an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience)_**:
- Proficiency with all MS Office products including Excel
- You have exceptional communication skills with the ability to deliver persuasive presentations on complex topics to increase buy-in
- You have strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams
- You have creative problem-solving skills with the aptitude to make decisions quickly in fast-paced environments
- You have robust analytical skills with the ability to transform complex sets of data into practical solutions that drive business value
