**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and support of LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity or hardware issues.
- Support and maintain switches, routers, firewalls, and other network equipment.
- Provide Tier 1-2 technical support for network-related issues.
- Work with senior network engineers on implementing network upgrades and configurations.
- Perform network documentation and inventory management.
- Follow network security practices and assist in implementing security measures.
- Respond to service tickets and escalate issues as needed.
**Requirements**:
- **Valid CCNA certification** (Cisco Certified Network Associate) required.
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP), and switching concepts.
- Familiarity with Cisco routers and switches.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Associate degree in Computer Networking, Information Technology, or related field (preferred but not required).
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Hands-on lab or internship experience with networking.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds).
- Basic knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, and wireless technologies.
**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months
Pay: $17.60 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
Flexible language requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Work Location: In person
