Landscape Construction Crew Member

**Work as a part of a dynamic team of skilled landscapers installing high end quality landscapes for residential and commercial properties. As a part of the Construction Crew, you will be responsible for assisting with a variety of tasks related to hardscaping and softscaping.**

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Follow direction from your crew Foreman and efficiently carry out tasks such as:Site preparation (demo, layout, excavation etc)

Hardscaping (retaining walls, interlock/natural stone driveways, patios, porches & walkways etc)
Softscaping (planting, mulching, sodding etc)
- Operate various tools and equipment, including: plate tampers, laser levels, measurement equipment, shovels, rakes, hammers, drills, dingos etc
- Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections, lubricating, and cleaning on a daily basis
- Assist delivery driver with loading and unloading of materials, tools, and equipment required to complete projects
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times, comply with all company policies and regulations and work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations
- Occasionally assist Carpentry Crew with construction of decks, fences, gates, sheds etc
- Occasionally assist Maintenance Crew with the general maintenance of clients properties

**Qualifications**
- Experience operating small equipment an asset (dingo, mini ex, skid steer)
- Valid G class drivers license; must be willing to get to various job locations throughout the GTA
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications an asset
- Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices
- Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
- Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment

- Guaranteed company shut down for one week at the end of August to ensure rest & relaxation

**Compensation**
- Starting rate ranges from $20-$25/hour
- Compensation for this position is based on experience level and performance. It will be tailored to meet your specific needs both in a professional capacity but also in your personal life.
- Fresh, healthy, hot lunches provided

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 10 months

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
