We’re looking for an **Assistant Controller** who’s ready to grow, learn, and make an impact. You'll be diving into the numbers, ensuring everything runs smoothly, and playing a crucial role in our financial journey.

**Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with the Controller and management team to uphold and enhance financial controls, policies, and procedures for accurate reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of month-end reporting, ensuring timely and precise financial information.
- Maintain and reconcile various balance sheet items.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Post manufacturer invoices into the accounting system with a high degree of accuracy.
- Maintain manufacturer payables and receivables schedules.
- Ensure consistent financing of vehicle inventory on Floor planning loans.
- Maintain and update floorplan loan schedules.
- Oversee and reconcile loaner and company vehicle inventory.
- Conduct monthly inventory counts.
- Undertake various tasks consistent with the General Accountant role, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in core accounting
- 1-2 years experience in Automotive accounting
- Bachelor's degree in business or commerce with an accounting focus, or a combination of a college diploma in accounting and relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills, including familiarity with pivot tables and lookups.
- Experience with accounting software; CDK or PBS experience considered an asset.

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Barrie, ON L4N 9H6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Auto Dealership: 1 year (preferred)
- CDK or PBS: 1 year (preferred)
- Accounting: 1 year (preferred)
