**Mechart** - is currently looking for a detail-oriented **Quality Assurance Inspector** - for its precision machining operation based in **Montreal, QC**.
- This position will primarily be tasked with the measurement & inspection of parts produced using various CNC controlled machine tools. Responsibilities will also include review of customer specifications to establish quality assurance related documents for required inspections and measurements. Conducting those inspections and measurements of parts to provide feedback to the production organization. Report and track all non-conformities to a resolution. Produce all documentation using Microsoft Office Suite. _

**Responsibilities**
- Produce all quality assurance related documentation based on review of customer specifications.
- Inspect incoming material and in-process parts.
- Conduct final inspections with CMM and optical comparator equipment.
- Use conventional measurement tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, plug gauges, bore gauges, air gauges and gauge blocks to validate production parts.
- Complete non-conformance reports and communicate quality issues to production. Track these reports to a resolution

Desired Skills & Experience

To excel in this role you must have:

- A minimum of two years of experience as a quality assurance inspector
- Experience as a quality assurance professional in a precision machining operation
- Knowledge of ISO-9001 and AS-9100 quality standards
- Experience operating CMM equipment
- Experience completing NCR reports
- Strong time management, planning and organizational skills.
- Self-starter, detail focused with a positive attitude.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to multi task & work under pressure
- A tireless work ethic, driven to persevere until expectations have been exceeded.
- Post-secondary diploma and / or equivalent working experience.

Company Description

Mechart is a precision machining operation with its facility in Dorval, Quebec. It is currently expanding its operations organically and through acquisition. This is an excellent ground floor opportunity with a firm that is poised to grow its operations over the next several years.

**Salary**: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
