**Job Purpose**

AIM HCR Inc. is seeking a professional, experienced, and dedicated **Maintenance Technician** to join our successful team.

This position is responsible for the repair, maintenance, installation and more for all equipment and infrastructure, and is responsible for supporting all departments in the AIM HCR facility. This position will ensure the efficient and safe operation of all equipment, machinery, and infrastructure. This position will report to the Maintenance Manager.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Inspect and examine machinery and heavy equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
- Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
- Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery
- Perform scheduled, emergency, and preventative maintenance, as well as general repairs, overhauls, installs, dismantles, etc.
- Follow all work instructions and procedures
- Read mechanical and schematic drawings to determine work procedure
- Coordination and work with service contractors to maintain the building and heavy equipment
- Operate man lift machines and power machines
- Recommend system and parts modifications, repairs or replacement changes in materials and improvements in methods to both the Maintenance and Operations Manager
- Adhere to all relevant Health & Safety and legislative requirements. Including participating in H&S meetings, monthly inspections and complying with OHSA assisting with on-site inspections

**Experience**
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a professional maintenance role
- Trade certifications are considered an asset, but are not required with comparable experience

**Education**
- Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational and/or technical training, hazard awareness, health and safety and/or equipment safety considered an asset

**Qualifications and Attributes**
- Proven Experience in manufacturing, industrial, construction or a related industry
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings
- Previous experience with heavy equipment, electrical and HVAC systems
- Knowledge of PLCs and SCADA controls is considered an asset
- Knowledge of hydraulics is considered an asset
- Able to maintain service standards and complete work orders in a timely manner
- Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and expedite repair
- Knowledge of safe rigging practices and SWL's
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Team player and supportive attitude
- Flexible to work overtime, weekends as needed

**Physical and Working Conditions**
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Working with heights and confined spaces
- Frequent exposure to noise, dirt and dust
- Work is mostly inside the facility but occasionally outside
- Regular schedule is Monday - Friday for a total of 44 hours/week
- Occasional Saturday shifts are required
- Shared on-call responsibilities
