**Responsibilities**:
The installation, alteration or repair of any plumbing system, and includes all work usually done by a journeyman plumber who is governed by the BC Plumbing Code.

Work such as installation and repair of piping, valves, pumps, fitting and fixtures associated with hot/cold water system, sewage system, hot water heating systems, and fuel and lubrication product delivery system. Also hydraulic hoists, air compressors, wash rack equipment and boilers.

**Qualifications**:
Applicant must have Journeyman qualifications in the plumbing trade in the form of B.C. Trades Qualification (TQ) and/or Interprovincial certification.

Possession of current BC Technical Safety “Class B” Gas Fitters License required, “Class A” would be an asset.

Possession of a fire sprinkler installation ticket and or BCWWA Cross Connection Tester Licences would be an asset.

A minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in an industrial/commercial building maintenance environment.

**Other Information**:
Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.

**Work Schedule**:
37.5 hours per week.

This is a full-time temporary position for 12 months.

**Work Designation**:
Resident

This position works predominately on-site.

**Rate of Pay**:
Wage: $59.69 per hour
