We are a CWB certified shop and have an exciting opportunity on our day shift for a Maintenance and Repair Worker. We are a specialized weld shop dealing with high grade material looking for skilled Welders and Fitters to join our team and grow.

**About the Position**:
A is responsible to fabricate and weld a variety of custom metal projects. Welders use technical skills, drawings, schematics, specific welding processes and other documentation to maintain quality and meet company standards. They will use a variety of welding methods, tools, and equipment.
A Maintenance and Repair Worker is responsible for completing maintenance and repairs to equipment, machines and buildings within the capabilities and personal qualifications of the maintenance individual.
Hours of Work: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Monday - Thursday) 40 Hours Per Week
**What will you be doing**:
- Prioritize workload based on Lead Maintenance Worker job assignments and production requirements.
- Ensure that all equipment is in good working order when required by production employees.
- Learn detailed procedures for repairs and maintenance from Lead Maintenance Worker, operating manuals, repair manuals and internet research.
- Be proactive and accountable for deadlines and job requirements.
- Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools and reassemble equipment.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines/equipment and tools continue to run smoothly.
- Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
- Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
- Assemble pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
- Record maintenance and repair work performed.
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
- Maintain buildings within the capabilities and personal qualifications of maintenance individual.
- Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Work and assist other workers in continuously improving safety.
- Note any problems or potential hazards to the Lead Maintenance Worker and/or Supervisor that may cause personal injury or property damage, delays in production shipments, or that may affect the quality of manufactured product.
- Report to the Maintenance Manager any contravention to the OHSA or other regulations, including Cambridge Pro Fab Incs’. policies and procedures.
- Follow proper Lockout (Zero Energy) procedures.
- Abide by the Occupational Health and Safety Act. and all applicable legislation.
- Wear approved personal protective equipment (PPE) such as eye and foot protection and any other required PPE.
- Other duties as assigned.
**What you bring to Cambridge Pro Fab Inc**:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in maintenance.
- Millwright certification is considered an asset
- Some of your own tools (minimum Required).
- **Mechanical** - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
