**The**Associate R&D Specialist will**be**responsible**for**the**following**:
**Role**:
**Duties**Include**:

- Identify and prioritize opportunities for new SR&ED projects
- Evaluate current processes to identify improved methods
- Document innovation activities to capture lessons learned and opportunity for process improvement
- Document proposals and seek out funding opportunities
- Once opportunities are identified prepare documents, power point presentations related R&D
- Assist the R&D Lead with preparing year end claim packages
- Assist with contracts with available government funded programs
- Support finance to manage and track funding and financials for SR&ED throughout its term
- Collect and track time for the management and ownership group directly related to R&D
- Daily balancing of GSS entries
- Administrative duties for Finance or General Operations

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum High School education or equivalent
- Mandatory that this role take part in a criminal record check and controlled goods screening

**Experience**:

- 1 to 4 years of work experience in Research and Development or Grant writing
- Experience in the machining industry is considered an asset

**Core Work hours**:

- 7:30am-4:00pm Monday - Friday
