Eggcetra, a cherished restaurant in Guelph for 22 years, is seeking enthusiastic and qualified servers for permanent full-time and part-time positions. Located near the intersection of Victoria and York Roads, Eggcetra is a highly-rated and bustling restaurant that offers delicious breakfasts and lunches in a casual, friendly atmosphere.

In addition to our breakfast and lunch options, we also offer specialty coffees, fresh juices, smoothies, shakes, and alcoholic beverages such as mimosas, Bloody Marys, Caesars, and beers for our loyal customers.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent Server Positions. Full-time server shifts consist of four to five shifts per week, while part-time shifts vary based on the restaurant's needs.

**Reporting Relationship**:Servers, baristas, hostesses, and hosts report directly to the front-of-house manager and indirectly to the owner.

**Training and Onboarding**:We’ll provide hands-on onboarding and training assistance to ensure new employees understand Eggcetra’s operations, expectations, and customer service standards.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in a fast-paced, high-volume casual restaurant setting, managing multiple tables simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal communication skills in English, demonstrating the capacity to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- An outgoing, energetic, and customer-focused personality passionate about delivering exceptional service.
- Experience with tablet-based POS systems for order entry and familiarity with accurately processing debit and credit transactions.
- Attention to detail in all tasks, ensuring accuracy in orders, payment processing, and customer requests.
- Fundamental math skills for managing cash and processing credit or debit card transactions.
- Quick learner able to adapt to changing demands and respond to customer needs with urgency.
- Ability to follow instructions from management and work as part of a team to provide excellent customer experiences.
- Capable of standing for extended periods and physically transporting food and beverages between the kitchen and dining area.
- Strong teamwork skills, collaborating effectively with team members (servers, hostesses, hosts, and baristas) to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Professional grooming and hygiene standards that comply with restaurant policies while ensuring a clean and polished appearance.

**Uniforms**: Eggcetra-branded T-shirts and sweatshirts are required, with adherence to the restaurant's dress code.

**License/Certification**: Servers must hold a current and valid Smart Serve Ontario certification or be willing to complete the free online training provided by the government before starting at Eggcetra.
