We are currently seeking a dedicated HSSE Officer to join our team. This position supports a dynamic and diverse portfolio of projects and offers flexibility with remote and camp-based work opportunities. This is an ideal role for individuals who are passionate about workplace safety, environmental responsibility, and thrive in a proactive, hands-on environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the development, implementation, and continual improvement of HSSE policies, procedures, and systems.
- Conduct field-level hazard assessments, inspections, and audits across various job sites.
- Support compliance with WorkSafeBC, environmental legislation, and client-specific safety requirements.
- Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and the development of corrective/preventive actions.
- Deliver and support HSSE orientations, toolbox talks, and job-specific safety training.
- Maintain documentation of inspections, training records, incident reports, and other HSSE-related data.
- Foster a positive safety culture through daily interaction with field crews and leadership.
- Ensure the correct use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) and emergency response gear.

**Requirements**:

- Strong knowledge or demonstrated interest in workplace safety, environmental awareness, and security protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable engaging with all levels of the workforce.
- Completion of, or willingness to pursue, safety certifications such as: CSTS, WHMIS, First Aid, H2S Alive, and other relevant credentials.
- Occupational Health and Safety coursework is considered an asset.
- Ability to work in remote and camp-based environments.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to recognize hazards and implement solutions in real-time.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and possess a valid driver’s license.

Pay: $32.00-$37.00 per hour
