**Position**: Coffee Roaster Machine Operators
**Industry**: Large Scale Coffee Manufacturing

**Job Type**: Full Time
**Schedule**: Monday-Friday (10:00 AM - 6:30 PM)
**Working Conditions**: Hot & Cold temperatures. Standing, bending & twisting involved. Up to 35lbs weightlifting involved.
**Pay Rate**: $22/hr.
**Major Intersection**: Langstaff Road & Connie Crescent, Concord, Ontario

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare roasters and blending system for requested production.
- Familiar with all relevant procedures as outlined in the Systems Documentation / Production work instructions. Specific care should be given to Roaster Fire safety, Organic procedures and cleaning procedures.
- Pick-up and review daily work orders from the lab.
- Maintain accurate records of all roast data values and roast colors.
- Provide samples to QC lab and report any out of spec conditions.
- Adhere to ongoing and periodic equipment cleaning schedules.
- Maintain all cleaning logs and other records.
- Ensure housekeeping is maintained on a daily basis.
- Ensure machinery is in good operating condition and/or report a problem to the appropriate individual.
- At the end of shift ensure all machinery parts are cleaned as per company specifications.
- Work safely and ensure health and safety is of paramount importance.
- Conduct monthly inventory required.
- Assist with material handling (bring raw materials to production area).
- Assist the Volpak team, including wrapping pallets during the assembly runs if required.
- Assist in any additional area as required.
- Adhere to GMP and GDP practices.
- Adhere to all Food Safety and QA practices.
- All other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- You have completed a **high school diploma** and/or equivalent.
- You have worked previously in **coffee roasting **positions.
- You have **minimum 2 years' experience** working in a manufacturing and/or production environment.
- You must have strong experience in **food and beverage industry**.
- You must have knowledge of **coffee bean properties **to ensure accurate and high-quality coffee production.
- **HACCP, CCP, GMP **and **GDP** trainings will be preferred.
- **FSSC 22000:2005** familiarity will be preferred.
