The Fence Shop needs to recruit hardworking woodworkers or carpenters. Are you looking to leave the field and work inside? Or simply looking for a job that's close to home? Then this position could be what your looking for

You will be responsible for creating high-quality cedar products following established standards, norms, and practices in this position. Analysis and interpretation of illustrations and specs ensuring personalized products are fabricated to requirements. You may be required to participate with on-site setups, complete projects within designated timelines, fulfill task deadlines, follow clear instructions in manufacturing work orders, and more.

Working hours:

- Monday - Friday
- 8am - 4pm - this may vary during high season depending on the needs of the business

Woodworker Job Responsibilities and Duties:

- Manufacture cedar, vinyl & composite products
- Make fence products with power tools
- Use machinery and equipment
- Work in a mid-volume production line
- Set up, run, and maintain wood nailing devices
- Sand & Stain items using sandpaper after cutting, shaping, and smoothing wooden parts
- Finish all phases of the carpentry process
- Stain raw wood
- Make sure the wood isn’t split or swelled.
- Build unique backyard products.

Woodworker Skills and Qualification:

- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Agility and attention to detail
- Physical ability to lift and carry materials
- Able to work independently with little supervision
- Able to read and interpret designs and plans is an asset.
- Accurate measurements are a must.

**Salary**: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

**Benefits**:

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay
- Overtime pay

**Experience**:

- carpentry: 1 year (preferred)
