**Purpose**:
The Aquatic & First Aid Lead will provide administrative and technical support to the Manager in the facilitation of aquatic and first aid programs. This position requires commitment and adherence to the mission and values of Athletics & Recreation as expressed in the mandate of the department.

**Education**:
High School diploma or equivalent. Current certification in National Lifeguard-Pool, Standard First Aid (Lifesaving Society, Red Cross and/or St. John Ambulance), Swim and Lifesaving Instructors. Examiner and AST are considered assets. Advanced leadership certification (National Lifeguard Instructor/Examiner, Standard First Aid Instructor/Examiner, Lifesaving Society Instructor Trainer) are considered an asset.

**Experience**:
2-3 years as Swim Instructor and Lifeguard. preference to previous deck supervision experience

**Skills**:
Excellent communication and leadership skills. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Effective organizational skills and ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines. Proficient computer skills with the capacity to promptly learn new computer software.
