The Manitoba Teachers' Society, as a union and professional organization, is dedicated to advancing and safeguarding the welfare of teachers, the status of the teaching profession, and the cause of public education in Manitoba. The Society represents approximately 16,000 Manitoba educators in 40 Local Associations across the province, with a staff of 80 professional and support personnel.
**Communications Advisor**
The Society is looking to fill the position of Communications Advisor that will advise the staff and senior leadership of The Manitoba Teachers' Society (MTS) on internal and external communications initiatives. This position will be responsible for developing and recommending long and short-range communications strategies, creating messaging tailored to multiple media platforms, conceiving and overseeing production of print and electronic publications, providing media relations counsel and support, as well providing strategic recommendations relative to political action.
Terms and conditions of employment are covered by a collective agreement.
