We are actively hiring full-time permanent Construction Labourers for year round work with opportunities for growth.
As our Labourer, you will assist in a variety of installation, maintenance and repair projects involving street lights, traffic signals, pedestrian crossovers, signage, flashing beacons and other traffic electrical devices that help SAFELY GUIDE FAMILIES HOME. Our Labourers are part of a 3-5 person crew working 40-50 hour weeks, starting at 7am, Monday to Friday with opportunities for overtime. The majority of the of the work is completed during the day in Edmonton and the surrounding municipalities with periodic out of town and night shift assignments. To thrive in this role you must be a hard working individual with some exposure to the construction industry, can show up on time everyday and work in a physically demanding environment.

**What you will do Everyday**
- Complete a variety of tasks, as assigned on a day-to-day basis which includes loading and unloading trucks, concrete and asphalt removal, rigging, digging, installing cable, routine clean up, operate small machinery and flagging.
- Ensure safe and effective operations of equipment
- Maintain and clean equipment
- Perform daily preventative maintenance and mechanical checks
- Assist with pre and post trip inspections, safety assessments and other related paperwork
- Perform other activities as directed by the supervisor

**Skills Required**:

- Team player with a positive attitude
- Ensure safety is a top priority and adheres to and follow all rules and regulations
- Must be well versed in construction site protocols, rules and code of conduct
- Ability to be adaptable, manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform physical labour as part of the job duties
- Ability to work in inclement weather conditions
- Ability to workdays/nights/weekends or out of town if necessary

**Qualifications Needed**
- Previous related experience preferred
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and submission of a 3-year Driver’s Abstract with less than 7 demerits
- Air Brakes (Q) is an asset
- Standard First Aid Certification
- CSTS
