**Compensation**:$17.20/hour, 30 hours per week**

About the Role

We’re looking for a **motivated and responsible Youth Worker** to support our team in delivering meaningful community initiatives. This short-term contracted role combines **community outreach, event support, and research**. Ideal for a **self-starter** who works well independently and thrives in dynamic environments, this position is mostly virtual but will require occasional in-person presence for community events and outreach across the GTA.

You’ll be engaging with youth and community partners, helping coordinate events, and contributing to research that supports youth programming. If you're passionate about empowering young people and enjoy wearing multiple hats in a fast-moving setting, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
- **Community Outreach**:

- Build relationships with youth, community members, and partner organizations.
- Promote programs and initiatives via virtual and in-person outreach.
- Support youth engagement and recruitment efforts.
- **Event Support**:

- Assist in planning, organizing, and running community events (in-person).
- Lead and provide logístical support including setup, registration, and coordination on event day.
- Act as a representative of the organization at public-facing events.
- **Research & Reporting**:

- Conduct community-focused research to help guide programming.
- Assist with compiling data and preparing summaries or reports to evaluate initiatives.
- Stay informed about current trends and issues affecting youth.

What We’re Looking For
- Strong self-management and the ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Friendly, engaging, and comfortable working with youth and diverse communities.
- Adaptable and organized; able to handle shifting priorities and multiple tasks.
- Experience in youth work, community engagement, event coordination, or research.
- Comfortable using online tools (Zoom, Google Workspace, social media, etc.).
- Willingness to travel within the GTA for events and outreach.

Nice to Have
- Lived experience relevant to the youth or communities served
- Multilingual abilities
- Access to transportation
