- We are currently looking for a **PRESS OPERATOR** to join our **BURLINGTON **team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity that will be responsible for the operation of vinyl presses to produce high quality vinyl records for fulfillment of assigned customer orders. We are looking for a positive, energetic person who is highly motivated and wants to work in a team environment

**This position operates on a straight night shift (11pm-7am) basis and is eligible for shift premium.**

**Responsibilities**
- Operate vinyl presses to produce materials consistent with customer specifications while ensuring quality standards are met and adhering to all safety standards and regulations
- Read work orders and production schedules to ensure conformance to customer specifications
- Set up, start and shut down machines (extruders, hydraulic and pneumatic presses) & monitor their operations, restocking materials as required
- Consistently meet or exceed identified target attainment goals on a daily and monthly basis
- Perform quality audits at point of manufacture
- Perform routine general maintenance on machines and work area daily; maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned production area at all times
- Determine and report product and equipment malfunctions to appropriate parties; troubleshoot equipment malfunctions as necessary
- Maintain a constant visual on parts produced and perform visual quality control audits
- Ensure to work following all Company policies and procedures
- Work collaboratively with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
- Targeted reduction in waste of all forms (time, materials, labour)
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization (colleagues, supervisors and other departments)
- Other duties as assigned by the Team Leader or designate

**Physical Demands**
- Required to stand for long periods of time (duration of shift)
- Involves repetitive motions for duration of shift; use of hands and wrist continuously in a controlled environment;
- Engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers
- Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather conditions
- Must be able to carry, push, pull or lift up to 50lbs occasionally
- Adaptable to relative sound pressure levels

**Requirements/Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Use of proper PPE while performing functions, CSA steel toed safety boots are mandatory
- Must be willing to work all shifts & to work overtime as business needs require
- Must be able to meet physical demands of the job
- Excellent communication skills: written, electronic and oral
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Must be capable of working in stressful situations in times of need
- Must be able to work well with others and in a team atmosphere
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
