**Our programs**:
The Global Centre for Pluralism is an independent, charitable organization founded by His Highness the Aga Khan and the Government of Canada. The Centre’s work includes:
- Developing research and tools to measure societies’ treatment of diversity and track trends to support the implementation of more inclusive policies and practices around the world
- Supporting educators to advance pluralism within the classroom as well as throughout educational systems and institutions
- Celebrating and supporting the work of worldwide champions working to build more peaceful societies that respect differences
**About the position**:
Giving international profile to the work of the Centre and to the critical importance of pluralism in today’s world is at the core of our communications and public affairs program. The Centre requires a full-time Coordinator to support the dynamic and creative work of the communications team.
Working closely with colleagues across the organization, the Coordinator will work on a range of multi-media and multi-platform communications products to help the Centre reach expanded global audiences with our research and education products through video, digital and print communications.
The Coordinator is adept with digital storytelling and creates original, engaging multi-media content for the Centre’s website, social media and newsletters, and initiates campaigns on social media to increase engagement, while monitoring analytics and maintaining content calendars.
This position may require remote work, and some travel, as well as work on occasional weekends and evenings.
**Role and responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Communications and Public Affairs, the Coordinator:
- Liaises directly with graphic designers, videographers, web developers, translators, copy-editors and other service providers to produce communications products including videos, digital content, printed pieces, and other communications collateral;
- Supports program teams to develop messaging and communications assets;
- Writes content for web, e-newsletters, social media, correspondence, reports and speaking notes;
- Assists with developing online campaigns to mark important dates for pluralism, from brainstorming to execution;
- Maintains a content calendar and posts bilingually to the Centre’s websites and social media channels (Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and Youtube);
- Works closely with the Centre’s Events Coordinator to support event logistics, including A/V, travel arrangements, invitations, registration, photography and post-event follow-up for the both the Centre’s events and partnership events;
- Maintains an inventory of the Centre’s communications products, including printing, ordering and distribution to target audience groups as required;
- Maintains and manages the Centre’s media database for photography and videography;
- Tracks and reports metrics from events, social media, and the website;
- Monitors media mentions of the Centre and compiles reports of the coverage;
- Coordinates volunteers and staff for events and occasional tours of the Centre’s headquarters;
- Offers occasional tours of the Centre’s headquarters to special guests;
- Maintains the Centre’s contact management system, and,
- Supports with other tasks, as required by the Communications team.
This position may require international and domestic travel, as well as work on occasional weekends and evenings.
**Skills and experience**:
- Post-secondary education, or a combination of training and experience related to the position;
