Overview:
Lafarge Precast is looking for an experienced
**Precast Journeyman Carpenter.**

We are currently looking for an experienced (3 + years), safety conscious and quality orientated Carpenter to work full time atthe Lafarge Precast Plant in Winnipeg.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints needed for concrete Precast forms. Assist other carpenters with the assembly of framework. Prepare layouts of forms from drawings that are provided (specifications and codes specially used in Precast formwork).
- Measure, cut, and assemble in accordance to the specifications provided. The use of numerous different power tools including hand saws and table saws. Knowledge of different kinds of wood that would appropriate to use depending on the size of form being built.
- Please note that this is an Edmonton based, plant location, which runs all year round indoors fulltime. The location is 185 Dawson Rd N. Although carpenters can be seasonal, ours are not.

**Compensation**:

- Unionized environment with benefits package
- Wages are dependent upon experience and skill.
- Paid every 2 weeks with direct deposit

Qualifications:
**Qualifications**:

- Journeyman Carpenter trade certificate
- CSTS-09 and other safety certificates are considered assets
- Carpentry Experience in a precast setting is an asset. ( 3+ years experience)
- Team Player and safety orientated
- Must undergo and successfully pass a pre employment drug and alcohol testing
