We have an immediate opening for an experienced Logistics Supervisor.

Working at our facility located in Pefferlaw, Ontario, the Logistics Supervisor position is responsible for logistics within our Company, including maintaining drivers on task for the efficient delivery of product to our customers, through sound management, organizational and communication skills, while continuing to develop, support and motivate employees in a positive environment.

**Major Areas of Responsibilities**
- Oversee all logistics activity company-wide
- Ensure compliance with government agencies, insurance and health & safety regulations is maintained with respect to driver and vehicle licensing, permits, inspections and training
- Utilize packing slips to coordinate drivers, trucks and routes for deliveries and pickups
- Communicate with shippers to determine proper trucks to use for various routes depending on loads
- Coordinate with staff to schedule deliveries and pick ups
- Regularly communicate with drivers and liaise with manager regarding deliveries and pick ups
- Schedule regular truck maintenance
- Resolve and report any issues that may arise to branch manager
- Assist in employee performance evaluation
- Enforce compliance of company policies and procedures
- Maintain a safe and effective work environment
- Perform delivery runs in the event of staff shortages
- Assess and address areas for continuous improvement in and around the fleet to improve efficiency, safety and cost
- General housekeeping of work area
- Other duties as required
- Adhere to health & safety policies and procedures at all times

**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Possess strong leadership and managerial skills using a hands-on approach
- Strong organizational skills
- Willingness to work to meet deadlines
- Confident, able to make sound decisions and resolve issues that arise

- Effective communicator with staff as well as all levels of management

**Education/Certification/Experience**
- Valid DZ/AZ driver’s license (asset)
- Forklift experience and certification (asset)
- Supervisor training
- Forklift experience and certification (asset)

**Hours of Work**

7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday

Saturdays and overtime as needed
