**Paving Superintendent**

**Key Information**:

- ** Must have at least 5 years in a superintendent role**:

- ** Must have at least 10 years of paving/construction experience**:

- ** Must be able to**plan, schedule, direct crews within the budget and timeline assigned**:

- ** Hours: Various shifts, project dependent, 12-hour days**:

- ** Must be willing to work evenings and weekends (Various shift rotations)**:

- ** Hourly rate is dependent on experience**:

- **Health benefits and vacation pay.**
- Plan, schedule, direct crews within the budget and timeline assigned
- Provide leadership and training to General Foreman, Foreman and other field staff
- Work with the Safety Advisors to ensure the work is performed safely
- Plan the construction function to establish an affective organization.
- Direct the overall construction program of the project
- Ensure project is meeting construction schedule
- Provide leadership to promote maximum productivity on site

**Experience and Certifications**:

- A minimum of 5 years in a Superintendent role
- 10 years of paving/construction experience is required.
- Strong communication skills
- Equipment Operator experience or other field experience is an asset.
- Must have Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS-09) Certificate, WHMIS 2015, Ground Disturbance Level II and Leadership for Safety Excellence
- ** A reliable means of transportation is required.**:

- Proficient English language skills required.
- ** Travel is required - A valid drivers license is required.**:

- ** A driver's abstract is required and must be obtained no more than 30 days prior to employment start date.**

**Education**: Completion of high school or equivalent is required.
