Middleware / Websphere Specialist

**Key Responsibilities and Job Duties**:

- Responsible for Middleware environment server builds, upgrades, migrations and technical documentation
- Analyze Java cores and exception
- Provide Middleware support and monitoring
- Deploy integration components in development/test environments
- Collaborate with other data analysts, business users, and IT professionals to ensure that data requirements are met with the highest degree of integrity and efficiency
- Responsible for automation and enhancements
- Understand business data, data mapping, and operational data models

**Key Competencies and Experience**:

- Minimum of 7+ years experience as a Middleware Consultant in an IT environment
- Experience in analysis, design, development, and implementation in all the following: IBM WebSphere Message Broker, IBM Integration Bus (IIB), IBM WebSphere MQ IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM Business Automation Workflow, IBM Business Process Manager
- Experience in Middleware Application (servers) like Apache HTTP server and IHS in Unix
- Knowledge of Java Middleware architecture, Load Balancer, Web servers, Application server, DB, Networking and have Utilities, Security, SSL, Clustering, etc.
- Extensive experience in tools, technology & framework: Java, Node.js, Python/Redis, REST/SOAP, JMS, AAPI gateways, OpenShift, Docker, and Kafka.
- Hands on experience with Google Cloud Platform and Open shift based provisioning, maintenance, and troubleshoot - IaaS and PaaS (VMs, DBs, etc.)
- Experience with DevOps tools - CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of GitOps, monitoring, and observability tools is an asset
- Experience with ElasticSearch, LogStash, Kibana, Logstash, SOA, Messaging, Transformation Engines, Web Services, and Data Integration techniques

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: From $70.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON
