MANAGER, DATA AND ANALYTICS - TORONTO

**Responsibilities include**:

- Collaborate with the business and IT leadership to define data and analytics roadmap, design and delivery of analytical solutions and identifying opportunities to adopt and scale data-driven decision making and advanced analytics across the organization
- Lead the planning and delivery of standardized BI data assets, semantic models, and enterprise reporting datastores to support better decision-making
- Design and develop data processes to integrate data from various data sources and build actionable data in the Azure Data Lake and Azure Data Warehouse
- Lead the development and management of clean datasets in the form of Master data and Transactional data for both reporting and integrations using Azure Data Services and/or other tools
- Drive optimization and stabilization of data integrations
- Manage resources and lead the execution of strategic initiatives to deliver on business and financial goals
- Determine data integration and reporting development priorities and best sequence for execution with alignment with organization or business groups strategies
- Ensure that enterprise BI standards and policies are enforced
- Review development work and support team through the development process
- Provide architectural risk assessment and mitigation strategies
- Perform data development and data integrations tools assessments
- Provide second line support on production issues related to data flow or reporting data pipelines

**Qualifications**:

- A post-secondary education in Computer Science or Information Management or relevant experience
- 5+ years of data architecture and data engineering experience including but not limited to data development, data integrations, data modeling, developing semantic layers, etc.
- 3+ years of managing a data platform with data ingestion, transformation, and storage components.
- 3+ years of managing/leading data and BI teams
- Hands-on knowledge of MS Modern Data Platform (Azure Data Factory, Pipelines, Azure Data Lake Gen2, Databricks, Azure Synapse), Microsoft BI Stack and data integration tools
- Experience delivering reporting solutions using Power BI, Tableau or similar
- Prior work experience in commercial insurance or financial industry an asset
