Manufacturing Assembly Line Supervisor

**Job Title: Manufacturing Assembly Line Supervisor - Aircraft Engine Manufacturing**
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Team Supervision & Coordination**: Lead and coordinate daily assembly line operations; delegate tasks to assemblers and ensure balanced workload distribution.
- **Production Oversight**: Monitor production schedules and outputs to meet volume targets and delivery deadlines.
- **Process Optimization**: Continuously assess and streamline workflow to enhance productivity and reduce turnaround times.
- **Quality Assurance**: Uphold strict adherence to quality and safety standards throughout the assembly process.
- **Training & Development**: Train, coach, and mentor team members; support employee development and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- **Issue Resolution**: Proactively address and troubleshoot production bottlenecks or quality concerns in collaboration with engineering and QA teams.
- **Cross-Functional Communication**: Maintain clear and consistent communication with other departments; provide production updates and status reports as needed.
- **Staff Management**: Support personnel decisions including hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- **Shift Supervision**: Oversee and coordinate shift transitions to ensure smooth operations and knowledge transfer.
- **Safety Leadership**: Champion a safe working environment; enforce compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
**Qualifications**:
- **Education & Experience**:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years' supervisory experience in aerospace or industrial manufacturing, preferably in jet engine assembly.
- Experience managing teams of 10+ employees in a fast-paced production environment.
- **Technical & Software Proficiency**:
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Familiarity with eCATES or similar assembly instruction systems.
- Understanding of ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management standards.

**Additional Requirements**:
- Must be a **Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident**:
- **Fluent in French** (spoken and written)
- On-site presence required **Monday through Friday**

Principales responsabilités:
Supervision et coordination d'équipe : Diriger et coordonner les opérations quotidiennes de la chaîne de montage ; déléguer des tâches aux assembleurs et assurer une répartition équilibrée de la charge de travail.
Supervision de la production : Surveiller les calendriers de production et les résultats pour atteindre les objectifs de volume et les délais de livraison.
Optimisation des processus : évaluez et rationalisez en permanence le flux de travail pour améliorer la productivité et réduire les délais d'exécution.
Assurance qualité : Respecter strictement les normes de qualité et de sécurité tout au long du processus d'assemblage.
Formation et développement : former, coacher et encadrer les membres de l’équipe ; soutenir le développement des employés et favoriser une culture d’amélioration continue.
Résolution des problèmes : Traitez et résolvez de manière proactive les goulots d'étranglement de la production ou les problèmes de qualité en collaboration avec les équipes d'ingénierie et d'assurance qualité.
Communication interfonctionnelle : Maintenir une communication claire et cohérente avec les autres services ; fournir des mises à jour de production et des rapports d’état selon les besoins.
Gestion du personnel : Soutenir les décisions relatives au personnel, y compris l’embauche, les évaluations de performance et les mesures disciplinaires.
Supervision des quarts de travail : superviser et coordonner les transitions entre les quarts de travail pour assurer le bon déroulement des opérations et le transfert des connaissances.
Leadership en matière de sécurité : défendre un environnement de travail sûr ; faire respecter les protocoles et réglementations de sécurité.
Qualifications:
Éducation et expérience:
Diplôme d’associé ou de baccalauréat dans un domaine connexe (aérospatiale, mécanique, génie industriel) ou expérience pratique équivalente.
Au moins 5 ans d'expérience en supervision dans le secteur aérospatial ou la fabrication industrielle, de préférence dans l'assemblage de moteurs à réaction.
Expérience de gestion d’équipes de plus de 10 employés dans un environnement de production au rythme rapide.
