**Summary**

Reporting directly to the animation director, the Expert 3D Animator will operate within a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment. Their role will involve producing high-quality animations in perfect alignment with the art and design departments.

**Job requirements**:
**Responsibilities**
- Collaborate closely with the Art, Engineering, and Design teams to define animation style, create previews, and present innovative concepts to the team.
- Create compelling character performances through expert keyframe animation, showcasing the game's artistic vision in harmony with its design.
- Proactively identify and resolve technical and animation issues, contributing to seamless gaming experiences.
- Adhere to animation delivery deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality in line with team expectations.
- Provide concise progress updates and communicate effectively with the team lead and animation management, remaining open to creative directions.
- Bring expertise and recommendations for assignments directly or indirectly related to the animation field.
- Be attentive to potential impacts on various stakeholders involved in assigned tasks.
- Focus on complex and strategic assignments with a significant impact on the project.
- Participate in developing solutions for challenges faced by senior peers.
- Stay constantly informed about the latest animation methods and actively contribute to research and development in the field.
- Contribute to mentoring, coaching, and training colleagues in the animation field.

**Qualifications**
- College diploma in 3D Animation or equivalent and/or higher experience/training.
- Minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant experience as an Animator in the gaming industry.
- Proven experience as an Animator on at least 1 game, preferably on a console platform.
- Mastery of animation software such as 3ds Max or Maya.
- Familiarity with keyframe techniques and animation editing.
- Excellent understanding of animation principles and techniques.
- Exceptional keyframe animation skills, bringing life and personality to characters and creatures.
- Knowledge of proprietary animation/creation tools such as Unreal and Unity, with expertise in the use of state-graphs.
- Good knowledge of cinematography, demonstrated through expert camera animations.
- Deep understanding of the human body and facial anatomy, enabling realistic and expressive animations.
- Strong team player, capable of effectively collaborating with diverse teams and positively contributing to the creative process.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, addressing challenges with creative solutions.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
- Deep passion for video games and animation, committed to delivering excellent work.
