Polecat Power Line Company is a leading provider of skilled personnel for power line construction, maintenance, and storm restoration projects. We are currently expanding our hiring pool and seeking reliable Contract Labourers to assist with power line and infrastructure projects across North America.

As a Labourer, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting power line technicians, arborists, and supervisors in completing a wide range of tasks in both routine construction and emergency storm response situations.

**Job Description**:
We are looking for dedicated Contract Labourers to join our hiring pool. As a Labourer, you will be responsible for providing physical support on construction sites, assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of power lines and related infrastructure. Your work will include tasks such as digging trenches, handling materials, setting up and dismantling equipment, and providing general labor support to the skilled tradesmen on-site.

This position is contract-based with on-call availability, requiring flexibility to work in various locations and weather conditions across North America.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with digging, trenching, and clearing work sites for power line projects
- Help set up and dismantle equipment such as scaffolding, barricades, and generators
- Transport and handle materials such as poles, cables, and other equipment
- Provide physical support to Power Line Technicians and Arborists during installation and maintenance tasks
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by organizing tools, cleaning up debris, and ensuring job sites are hazard-free
- Operate power tools and heavy machinery under supervision, if qualified
- Respond quickly and efficiently to emergency storm restoration requests
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure safe working conditions
- Be available for emergency storm response and travel as needed

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in construction or general labour preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license
- Safety certifications (e.g., First Aid, WHMIS, etc.) are a plus
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and follow instructions
- Willingness to travel anywhere in North America for work
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
