**Job Summary**
Active Start Childcare, a thriving and established company based in Calgary with sister centers in Airdrie, is currently seeking a FSCD Support Educator for our new Seton location. **Please note**:

- This is a term position with a start date of December 02, 2024 ending August 31, 2025 with a possibility of extension if the child continues to require services.
- Shift will be 3:30 pm - 5:00 on school days and 9:00 am - 4:30 pm on PD days and school holidays.
- Age group - Grade 1

**Key responsibilities of the position include (but are not limited to)**:

- Providing one-on-one support for a specific child within the childcare program.
- Creating and implementing engaging programming tailored to the interests and needs of the child.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety within the environment.
- Leading and supporting the child in integrated learning and recreational activities.
- Actively supervising and engaging with the child while ensuring their well-being.
- Cultivating positive relationships with the child, their family, and colleagues.
- Participating in professional development initiatives.
- Adhering to Alberta Early Learning and Child Care Regulations and Active Start's policies and procedures to ensure quality care.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract

Pay: $20.14 per hour

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Alberta Childcare Certificate Level 1 (required)

Work Location: In person
