**Group Fitness Instructors - Level 1**

The City of Pitt Meadows Recreation Department is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individuals to lead fitness classes. We are currently recruiting individuals with strength/cardio/low impact instruction expertise with a choreography group fitness background.

Reporting to the Recreation Fitness Coordinator, this position will be responsible for leading exercise programs for youth, adults and seniors, focusing on functional exercises, balance, agility, cardiovascular fitness, strength, flexibility, and other health related fitness. Fitness Instructors will provide direct instruction, leadership and program management for specific classes.

The successful applicants must have experience planning and leading group fitness and/or strength/cardio/low impact classes. Other required qualifications include:

- Current Group Fitness Instructor Certification - BCRPA or related equivalent
- Valid and ongoing continuing education credits in BCRPA
- Current First aid and CPR
- _Copies of relevant professional certificates will be required at the time of the interview._

Salary Rate: $33.00 per hour
