POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting in matrix to the Impact Office and The Financial Planning and Business Partnering team, the Finance Business Partner is a trusted advisor that understands the business and provides real time support and analysis and add value that will assist decision making. He/she will influence the business's decisions to achieve financial strategies and performance.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
The Business partner will play a key role in supporting business planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the Impact Program. The core responsibilities include:
- Work closely with the Impact team and be an active contributor to the business planning
- Interact with senior stakeholders to provide and improve financial planning, analysis and forecasting support to the business unit
- Gather and analyze business and finance data to simulate various corporate strategies
- Adapt financial models and provide expertise to business priorities
- Support and challenge the business for delivery of financial targets
- Prepare monthly comprehensive and value-added analysis based on models, productivity and other standards, and brief management on results
- Drive performance and insight by supplying data and interpreting it
- Accountable for financial governance including business case and project review
- Participate to ad-hoc reporting while being supported by the center of excellence
- Participate to operational meetings and day-to-day site management in order to help quickly identify risks and opportunities and drive financial performance
- Lead process improvements and special projects
- Participate in or assist the financial planning and analysis team on projects and analyses as required
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field, CPA designation or MBA an asset
- Minimum 10 years experience with industry
- Strong ability to communicate and deliver the information in a clear and user-friendly manner
- Strong financial and analytical skills and knowledge of financial services industry business
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen
- Capable of driving and influencing business performance
- Proven ability to work with senior management and executives
- Written and oral fluency in French and English is required
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and agile workplace an asset
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Creative team player, flexible and cooperative with a desire to work within a team
