**POSITION OVERVIEW**

The primary role of the **Plant Controller** is to provide leadership within the financial aspects of the overall company operations in a manner that keeps MDI aligned with Corporate office (VNI) and at or above industry standards, maintains the integrity of the company’s financial systems, ensure MDI meets financial regulatory requirements, delivers on organizational goals, and maximizes the level of operational and financial performance.

The **Plant Controller** will accomplish the position objectives and key responsibility areas by planning, developing, and overseeing the effective and efficient operation of accounting and key responsibility areas and gaining support from cross functional departments.

- Strategic financial data interpretation versus simple reporting of key data.
- Performs detailed and complex numerical computations and reports.
- Support external interactions on financial issues, including building relationships with key financial decision makers.
- Strong conflict management skills with ability to effectively and expeditiously reach satisfactory resolution among all involved parties.
- Problem solver with solid analytical skills and the ability to trouble shoot as the need arises. Involves staff in the decision making process.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
- Professional accounting designation (CPA) with current knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures. Minimum five (5) years progressively responsible corporate level accounting experience within the food processing/manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years in a manager-level position preferably at the senior level in a culturally diverse manufacturing environment.
- Solid knowledge of ASPE, GAAP, and a strong internal control environment.
- Strong people orientation balanced with an understanding of business needs.
- Results driven with a disposition towards continuous improvement.
