Elevated HR is working with **Royal Alexandra Health Foundation (RAHF)** to search for a **Vice President, Fund Development** who will be equally committed to their purpose. Envision yourself working hand in hand with the President & Chief Executive Officer inspiring and fostering a culture of committed and impactful philanthropy.
**The VP of Fund Development will be primarily responsible for the following**:
**Fund Development** - Build strategy, capacity, and execute upon revenue growth across fund development platforms and streams. Oversee the strategic execution of capital fundraising campaigns and major gifts while strengthening support for the Foundation by identifying, cultivating, and soliciting donors. In addition, the role is responsible for strategic oversight to maintain strong relationships with donors, corporate partners, the community, and all levels of government.
**Inspiring Philanthropy**:
- To inspire philanthropic support for health and health research across stakeholder groups and communities, including external and internal audiences resulting in the advancement of the Foundation’s mission, “To improve the health of all Albertans”.
**Leadership Management**:
- Oversee a group of talented team members, setting goals and performance measures that support and optimize the delivery of the Foundation’s fundraising strategies and objectives. This includes supporting the development of our culture through effective hiring, onboarding, developing, and addressing performance issues.
**Building Better Healthcare** - Oversee a team that builds programs, campaigns, and relationships that will increase the visibility, and the impact that will advance our mission to build better healthcare.
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution. An MBA would be considered an asset. However, a combination of education and training along with extensive experience directly related to this role may be considered
- 10+ years of progressive experience in fund development and major gift cultivation
- Experience in leading fund development teams that achieved a high level of success (providing testimonials if available)
- Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) designation is considered an asset
- A track record of meeting and exceeding fundraising goals
- Excellent written communication, as evidenced by a cover letter demonstrating how your skills and experience will shape the growth of the foundation and our mission to build better healthcare and achieve our goals
- Proven track record of successful fundraising strategy providing examples of impactful campaigns and dollars raised
**During the interview process which includes meeting with Elevated HR, potential team members, and the President and CEO, we will be looking for**:
- Varied examples of strategic planning, problem-solving, critical thinking, and business operations
- Examples that demonstrate your understanding of how to read an audience; recognizing when to collaborate as well as operating from a place of autonomy
- Ability to explain how you lead teams to achieve successful outcomes and what were some of the struggles you overcame along the way
- Ability to demonstrate experience in identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors
- Examples of how you led your team to success on various campaigns and how that translated into revenue
- The ability to shepherd multiple projects through multiple phases, across various channels with diverse deliverables, involving the contributions of many
- Your approach to inheriting a team by building a respectful rapport
- Showing your commitment to working together with all departments
