**Security Services Manager**

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Liaison with Paladin contracted security personnel, HIAA Security Managers, Halifax Stanfield airport partners and stakeholders, and senior Paladin Management.
- Ensuring operational excellence, effectiveness, and oversight of the Paladin contracted security services performance standards, and the airport security program.
- Maintain a knowledge base of civil aviation legislation and changes that affect aviation and airport security.
- Oversight and understanding of HIAA’s security Information reporting system (SIRS), access control system (C*Cure), and key management system (Keystone), as well as co-ordinate and oversee security programs, such as: supply chain, stock control, prohibited items and iWATCH.
- Management and oversight of the security services personnel, which consists of; Access Control & Patrol; Security Operations Centre, and Pass Control & Security Office, this includes coaching and corrective action recommendations to the Paladin Branch and HR Management.
- Attend meetings and working groups.
- Collaborating with the Aviation Security (AVSEC) Training Manager and HIAA Security Managers regarding airport security program requirements, such as the development of training modules, creating post orders, event management and emergency response procedures.

**Qualifications**

**Experience**: Security related experience as a security supervisor or security manager with knowledge of and experience with electronic security systems, e.g. access control, CCTV, intercoms, alarms. Aviation security experience is an asset, but not required.

**Training**: Must be able to successfully pass required internal training programs including the HIAA AVSEC Course, Assistance of Persons with Disabilities, The Stanfield Way workshop, Human Factors, Halifax Stanfield Airside Vehicle Operators Permit and any other courses required by the contract.

**Clearance**: Must be able to successfully obtain a Transportation Security Clearance and Transport Canada Secret Clearance (both clearances require a clear criminal background).

**Communication skills**: Strong problem solving and customer service skills including excellent verbal and written communication capabilities

**Computer literacy**: Minimum of intermediate-level competency with Windows-based computer systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
