**Job description**:
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Management lead, the Quality Assurance - HACCP Lead is accountable for implementing and maintaining the HACCP program while tracing vendor food safety records and required distribution as per customer purchasing agreements. Food Safety and Regulatory compliance in all processing avenues would be the focus ensuring vendors and internal departments meet or exceed Company objectives for food safety and regulatory compliance and Regulatory Agency requirements in support of Rangeland Premium quality philosophy.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage Rangelands HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) program and Animal Care program which includes verification of documents ( internal & external), onsite observations either inhouse or during visits to processing facilities, updates for new products or processes and a yearly reassessment to ensure compliance to regulations.
- Accountable for preparation and participation in all third-party audits/CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency). Maintain professional interaction with all third-party auditors /CFIA. Assist in follow up corrective actions and preventative measures from audit findings. Recommend and implement approved improvements to production processes, etc. that increase food safety.
- Participate in internal/external quality and animal care audits including operational reviews. Conduct quality and animal care audits as required. Provide timely feedback to the Management Team and relative departments on quality and animal care issues and recommend corrective actions and preventative measures.
- Audit internal facility(s) and processes to ensure managers / employees adhere to HACCP, Quality Assurance programs and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). When there is a deviation, this is reported to operations management to implement compliance.
- Maintain and coordinate with the warehouse coordinator recall policies and processes, oversee all HACCP program activities including service provider activities like pest control, external laboratories etc.
- Accountable to participate in QA projects, collecting template data, validating processes for new product launch, etc. with a goal of improved compliance and operational efficiency.
- Assist the Management Team in orienting all employees on quality, regulatory and food safety principles and policies and in ensuring they remain current in their knowledge.

Pay: $45,000.00-$58,000.00 per year

**Education**:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
**Experience**:
- HACCP: 1 year (preferred)
**Language**:
- English (preferred)
