Caneda Transport is seeking a Warehouse Operator to join our team in Calgary, Alberta

**Responsibilities (not limited to)**:

- Load/unload trailers safely while keeping track of correct piece count and weight and verifying information with paperwork
- Notify Dispatcher/Supervisor of any piece count discrepancies, damaged or defective freight
- Use appropriate equipment to ensure proper load securement (load bars, straps, plywood, cold walls etc.)
- Building and equipment inspections to ensure compliance with operating standards
- Label freight accurately
- General yard maintenance
- Sweeping and cleaning the inside of trailers and cross dock
- Communicate and schedule freight for delivery with dispatch and coordinate delivery of products to the end user
- Operator material handling equipment such as dollies and pallet jacks
- Use computer to track trucks and shipments, print manifests, lead sheets and labels
- Represent and comply with Company Health and Safety policies and procedures (COR Certified)

**Qualifications**:

- Forklift License required
- Minimum of 2 years forklift experience
- Transportation experience is considered an asset
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment
- Physical fit and able to lift up to 40lbs
- Good team player and can work independently
- Reliable and punctual
- Occasional evenings and weekends
