**Purpose of position**:
Reporting to the Director IT the Jr. IT Administrator supports the administration and for the enterprise cloud-based IT infrastructure and solutions, office telecommunications services, staff computing devices and staff support in accordance with industry accepted best practice. This position supports proper business operations by monitoring system performances and, in business continuity by managing the backup and recovery processes.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Technical Support**
- Serves as the primary contact for IT support for internal staff, providing level 1 and level 2 support.
- Coordinates incident reporting, research, tracking, and resolution, and external IT vendors.
- In collaboration with the IT Administrator, responds to and supports the resolution of all support issues within the established Service Level Agreement (SLA) with mínimal disruptions.
- Installs or updates hardware, software, and operating systems on staff computers.
- Administers usernames, passwords, and security credentials for staff and reset, as required.
- Supports the onboarding process by provisioning new hires with hardware and software and orientation to the new user.
- Support the offboarding process by removing access, archiving and wiping of all data from user equipment.
- Provides backup after hours. Remote and on-site support for maintenance and as requested and in the case of an emergency.
**System Administration**
- Manages the configuration and administration of Office 365 online features (Access control, user lists, Exchange and SharePoint online admin).
- Support the IT admin with the configuration and administration of MS SQL, Azure virtual environment (IaaS and PaaS).
- Supports network services by troubleshooting connectivity issues (Bell call center software, switches, routers, Wi-Fi access points).
- Tracks, escalates, follows up and resolves system issues with service providers.
- Administers and enforces system operating policies and procedures.
- Supports the monitoring of system resource usage and reports service performance against service levels, identifying issues, and working with management and vendor to resolve issues.
- Supports the configuration of enterprise IT solutions as directed by management or as per project design.
- Works alongside IT admin, IT vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure the CAO environment is properly and securely configured to supports the business requirements.
- Keeps up to date on general technical skills and knowledge of MS office 365 and Azure roadmap/direction, new releases, new patch/fixes.
- Maintains comprehensive supporting documentation for installation and support.
- Proactively identifies opportunities to increase productivity, improve efficiencies, leverage automation, etc.
**System Maintenance**
- Monitors all office 365 and ATP alerts.
- Monitor and report auto updates from MS on all office and ATP updates.
- Plan and rollout changes to both office 365 and ATP to ensure optimal system operations.
- Works with the Director, IT and the IT Administrator to review and assess maintenance schedules for both user and enterprise systems.
- Applies patch and upgrades as directed or as scheduled.
**Security Administration**
- Enforces enterprise information security and privacy policies and procedures.
- Monitors organization security status and posture on both end-user and business systems
- Work with the Director of IT and IT Administrator to respond in a timely manner to all security instances and threats.
**License and IT Asset Administration**
- Administers, monitors, and maintains accurate record of software subscriptions licences by user and by department.
- Records and tracks assignment/re-assignment of all IT Asset inventory, including laptops, mobile devices, monitors, desk risers, etc.
**Other**
- Supports new employee onboarding and technical equipment preparation.
- Support employee off boarding by removing access and user data archive.
- Additional duties as assigned by the Director of IT.
**Qualifications, skills and knowledge**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field and A+ certification, CISSP, ITIL
